Yes, this is what my husband has been doing since last night - sitting in our computer room with Nathan and Ricky having a LAN party (and I had to turn the lights on to take this picture because they were sitting there in the dark with nothing but the glow of their computer screens for light). To those who may not know, a LAN (local area network) party is basically where nerds get together and hook up their computers to the same network and play games. They have a huge LAN party at the convention center in town every year called Million Man LAN, so this is Ben's little mini-version at home. When I left for work this morning, the guys were STILL awake from last night (and I noticed a 12-pack of Mountain Dews had been opened), but they had taken a break from the computers and were in the basement playing the board game Risk, with the ping-pong table as their table. They slept for about 4 hours this afternoon, but then they were back at the game - Warcraft 3, to be exact, although they might have played some other stuff too. The party ends tomorrow morning, if they make it that long. I made them some chili and cookies to snack on while they're here, but alas, Ricky doesn't like beans...I'll have to remember that for next time.
