The Greatest Show On Earth

That's right- the circus came to town! No, I didn't go to the circus...but the circus was going to be at the Yum! Center, which is across the street from the LG&E building where I work, and they paraded the elephants and horses through downtown, ending up at the Yum! Center. Went out to watch them go by...not exactly my typical workday :)

Accident

We have this annoying picture frame hanging on the wall going up the stairs that keeps falling off...not sure if it keeps getting bumped or if it is just the jarring from running up the steps, but the other 3 frames on the same wall never have any trouble staying put. Apparently when I put it back on the wall the last time, after it had already fallen off twice before, I failed to consider that the frame itself would not hold up any longer on its own. So while I'm doing dishes one day, I here a clunk and a shatter. The frame fell apart, the glass hit something and broke in a tiny thousand little shards on the carpet on the stairs...and Dwight Shrute the bobble head, who was sitting on the steps to be taken upstairs, got decapitated. This just made me laugh. The decapitation that is, not the million shards of glass I had to spend forever vacuuming up.

Fortunately, superglue did the job and Dwight can sit on Ben's desk once again.

Zucchini Nut Bread Cookies

Don't be scared...zucchini actually makes for a very moist, delicious dessert! I made these from this recipe on Noblepig.com. They turn out very soft, almost bready, and not too sweet because there isn't as much sugar in the cream filling as you would think. They were pretty good, but if I make them again I'd probably use more sugar in the filling and maybe bake them longer or something to make them a little crunchier (maybe I did something wrong the first time, not sure...). But, it was still good if you like something soft and not overly sweet, so that I'd pass the recipe along.
