Bambi

A deer came along and had her baby one morning in my parents' backyard. I came over that Sunday and saw the cute little baby deer- it just sat in the same spot all day long, like the mother had abandoned it! It's hard to see, but it's the little brown thing with its ears up in the middle of the picture, left of the pole and up against the fencing.
We were starting to worry as dinner time was rolling around and still no sight of the mother...I mean, as a newborn, it had to be getting hungry after a whole day of no eating! Finally, the little deer got up and walked over to the fence, where we could see the mother on the other side. The baby couldn't figure out how to get through, so went and laid back down in the same spot!

Finally that night, we saw the mother deer pass through the yard again, and when we looked for the baby, it was gone. My parents have since seen them walking through the yard together, so I guess they finally hooked back up! What a shame, I was thinking a pet deer might have been fun! :)

Gardening

We have some really pretty lilies in the front yard that are so bright and colorful and I love them and wish we had a ton more! The yellow ones are from last year, but the white and red ones are new additions.

Our garden in the backyard is actually growing- yay!

Look- green beans! I actually planted seeds that grew into these plants that are now growing green beans- it's a miracle!!

We also have squash, broccoli, and basil growing. I should have spinach and peppers as well, but there are a few plants that I can't tell what they are (they may even be weeds- ha!), and I can't remember where I planted what, so we'll see what turns out!

Reagan

Reagan and Lindsay came in town for a quick visit a couple weeks ago. Just wanted to post these cute pictures of Reagan with her whipped cream for dessert at Cheesecake Factory.
